Delta Obtains ACE "Product Liability Insurance AAA Certification"
The only company in Taiwan certified for the highest product liability rating |

Taipei, Taiwan, February 20, 2008 – Delta Electronics, Inc., today announced that it has obtained the highest standard of product liability, the ACE "Product Liability Insurance AAA Certification" to become the only company in Taiwan to obtain certification within the past 5 years. Scoring full marks for all eleven ACE certification criteria, Delta meets the highest international standards for product design and manufacture, product safety, self auditing, and management responsibility.
R.T. Tsai, Vice President & General Manager of Corporate Communications of Delta said, "Delta is the world's largest provider of switching power supplies and brushless fans, as well as a major source for many electronics products. Delta has moved forward from OEM and ODM to DMS (Design, Manufacture and Service/Solutions) and quality is the foundation we rely on. Mr. Tsai also expressed his appreciation to AON for assisting Delta in achieving the Product Liability Insurance AAA Certification.
ACE point outs that manufacturing companies are assuming more responsibility than ever in the trend towards globalization. Companies must pay more attention to product liability, risk management and loss control to manage the company safely and sustainably. Edward Tseng, general manager of ACE said, "The Product Liability Insurance AAA Certification System is based on international standards. Taking into consideration the global supply chain, it is getting more difficult to obtain AAA certification. Delta Electronics is the only company in Taiwan to obtain certification over the past five years. Obtaining full marks in all eleven criteria demonstrates that Delta has achieved the highest standards in product design and manufacture, product safety, self auditing, and management responsibility. It also shows the growing capabilities of Taiwan's electronics industry and its influence on the world.
The eleven AAA survey categories are: 1) Management Responsibility, 2) Documentation and Procedures, 3) Product Design and Manufacture, 4) Product Instructions Labeling Warnings and Warranties, 5) External Document Control (Marketing and Reseller Documentation Control), 6) Product Traceability, Identification and Recall, 7) Self Auditing, 8) Product Liability Training, 9) Product Safety Evaluation and Testing, 10) Contractual Risk Transfer, 11) Data Collection and Analysis. |
