Welcome to Delta Green Maps! —the world's first company-wide green map project. Delta's green map activities demonstrate our commitment to environmental protection and energy conservation, and we hope it inspires our employees to support our corporate mission and green values.
Green maps illustrate an area's green living resources and encourage participation in environmental sustainability. The first green map was created by Ms. Wendy Brawer for a United Nations meeting in New York City in 1991. Since then hundreds of green maps have been produced by local communities using a common system of mapmaking methods to highlight green resources.
To celebrate Delta's 35th anniversary, we decided to produce our own set of green maps. The result is documented in "Come Close and See Delta's Green Maps." Not only is the green mapmaking process explained for each of Delta's factories, but this interactive course also shows you how to design a green map and how to live a greener lifestyle.
