While there is no general consensus on the definition of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) defines CSR as follows: "corporate social responsibility is the continuing commitment by business to contribute to economic development while improving the quality of life of the workforce and their families as well as of the community and society at large". In past years, The UN Global Compact, The OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, and the Electronic Industry Code of Conduct (EICC, promoted by global brand companies in the electronics industry) have all asked business sectors to pay attention to their performance on human rights, labor issues, the environment, and corporate governance while pursuing profit and growth.
For Delta, CSR covers the company's sound corporate governance, commitment to stakeholders' balanced interest, dedication to energy conservation and environmental protection, and contribution to the society.
Moreover, with "Care for the Environment, Energy-saving and Our Green Earth" as a major theme of Delta's CSR, we implement environmentally sound practices in our daily operations and product design to live up to Delta's corporate social responsibilities.

In 2011, Delta Electronics is named to two of the prestigious 2011 Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes—the DJSI World Index and the DJSI Asia/ Pacific Index. Delta was also first in its industry in several of the index categories. Selection to become a member of the DJSI is high international recognition for Delta's continued commitment to corporate social responsibility and sustainability.
